Come and see DuPont defend last year’s Kalmar Races Championship.

On Wednesday, September 26, 2007 the Wilmington Renaissance Corporation is hosting its second annual Kalmar Race. Seven local corporate crew teams will compete in a series of races to earn the title of “Wilmington crew champs of the Business World” along with the Kalmar Crown!

Our very own DuPont Rowing Team will be racing again this year and will donate $1,000 for the community cause. Eight DuPont employees will train with the Wilmington Rowing Center, who is graciously training all the teams again this year, to help support a great community race. Clear into the Future is ready to cheer on our crew champions and we hope you are too!

The Wilmington Renaissance Corporation hosts the event to raise money for the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation and Wilmington Rowing Club.

Come cheer on your favorite crew and enjoy the music, food and drinks. You can also visit the Kalmar Nyckel boat, which will be docked at Dravo Plaza.
