How Do Ports Function

Ports serve the country as both the entrance and exit point for any products that are coming in and out of the country. Imported cargo is then brought to the rest of the country and sold in the US market. Exported cargo is shipped to other countries and sold in their respective markets. Ports provide jobs for many people to load and unload the cargo onto ships.
